New Park Approved in North Adelanto

Providing a space for families to come together.

The city of Adelanto was awarded a new park grant worth $2.8 million. One of the many things that my administration stressed to our land use team was to go after grants to help build our city, and we did just that. In 2021 we were awarded $2.8 Million in a new park that will be built on Chamberlaine Ave in between Montezuma St and Jonathan St. This park will have places for our kids to play and have fun, like a splash pad as well as a basketball court and other services and features to benefit our community.

Our parks are an important aspect of our community, they provide a space for families to come together and spend time together while also providing opportunities for physical activity for all ages. This park will be no different and I look forward it its completion in 2023!

The city of Adelanto has been working hard to bring more opportunities for our youth and the community in general. Under Mayor Reyes’s administration, staff and some members of the council have worked overtime to bring in more opportunities for the city to be able to bring in much-needed parks for our youth. In total Mayor, Reyes has brought in over $3.7 million in funds to build or repair our parks. Earlier in the year, the city rehabilitated Marconi Park. Marconi Park is a park that we have on Bartlett ave and Verbena Rd, It was severely neglected like other things we inherited in 2018 but that will no longer be the case, we are happy to announce that we completed a full rehabilitation project of the field and scoreboard this past summer putting in a little over $900,000 into rehabbing this park for our kids.
